I can highly recommend putting a tape recorder on "record" mode WHILE singing along at high volume to your iPod.
Get some kinda stiff drink, settle down for a HARD and TERRIFYING hour, and play the entire tape back to yourself.
Recognise that even though you could be a rock singer, WHEN YOU'VE GOT THE EARPHONES ON, you SUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK! Regardless!
And yup... I did this.
