Apple would probably try to sell you the sweetest-looking generator in the world to keep it going...

iPower!

That brick doesn't look sexy! I had a machine that looked just like that about 15 years ago. It was an IBM laptop and I replaced it for a more sexy Dell. My next one is going to be alienwarez, so basically I'm too sexy for the G5.

Well get used to that look, because they'll need to be that big to deal with the extra heat from Wintel processors.

Uh, David: No.

With a new "Wintel" processor, you'll actually be able to experience top-end performance in your Powerbook for the first time. Here's the news if you haven't heard: IBM haven't been able to deliver a high-performance mobile chip to Apple that doesn't defrost people's balls, one of the reasons Jobs' crew are moving over (among many others, obviously).

In fact, the case in the pic above still probably isn't fat enough for the heat sink your beloved G5 needs!

do you really think apple would put such a crappy piece of shit out there?? you could fit 4 mac minis in there!20 ipods? 3 pb g4? That will never pass the apple designer test anyways... this "prototype" only purpose was probably to show the performance before they find the real way to make it fit in a 1.5" to 2" laptop.
thx for trying.
