When endorsements fail

For the non-hockey fans, Eric Lindros (88) plays for the Rangers, and Mario Lemieux (66) plays for the Penguins.

Nike got this wrong.

What it tells the fans is that they don't really give a rat's-ass about the sport.

Not the best way to start a winning brand-consumer rapport...!

Well, it's not like it matters, really...

The only ones who *might* notice would be NHL fans. And there aren't many of them left since the past season went toes-up due to player/owner contract disputes.

But I digress...

Nice catch.

We're still here Jim, we're just pissed off and bitter.

Oh, and thanks...!

The only ones who *might* notice would be NHL fans.

Um, surely that's probably about 85% of the target market in question?
