Blogger goes SOUTH (way south)

While at TED, I had the privilege of meeting a guy by the name of Ben Saunders, as well as being a blogger, Ben's something of an adventurer. His new expedition sounds like quite an outing:

Here’s the plan. The first return journey to the South Pole on foot and the longest unsupported polar journey in history. In October next year, Tony Haile and I will set out from Scott’s hut, on the shores of McMurdo Sound on a 1,800-mile, four-month round trip, from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole and back. No dogs, no vehicles, no kites, no resupplies. We’re calling it SOUTH.

To raise money, Ben's asking people if they want to own a mile of the trip for $100. I'm going to buy a mile for both blogs, and am challenging other bloggers to do the same, fundable is an option for people who want to donate smaller amounts.

Ben's a great guy, and I'm fairly sure we can talk him into some guest posting while he's there...!
