Oh, the irony...

Shit, I laughed out loud when I saw this change this manifesto on the topic of standing out.

Apples

I laughed because I had previously read Joe Calloway's great book on the same topic.

Categorya

With basically the same cover.

Way to distinguish yourself pal...!

Good find!

This is mediocrity gone mad. What a frothing idiot to copy someone else's work in such a brain dead manner.

I hope this fool gets fired, or, if not gainfully employed, has to flip burgers at some animal murder restaurant.

Thanks for this interesting example of stupidity.

People

Show some charity and maybe hold the venom for a minute.
Stuff like this is unfortunate but it happens all of the time. The most likely explanation is that a similar communication challenge attracted a similar solution.

But the apples are different colors! How much more distinguishing can you get?

Posted by: Grant Henninger | 3 Dec 2005 22:50:45

Yeah, the apples are different colors, but aren't Red apples a bit cliche? I think he still fails. (Of course, I don't think Grant was suggesting otherwise).

Without irony.
What do you think about this?
Do you have a serious opinion about this "coincidence"

um abraço

My guess is that it's quite possibly an honest, albeit unfortunate, mistake.

Made for a fun post though...!

Posted by: Rich...! | 4 Dec 2005 23:26:33

Rich, did you do any research?

The author does not create the Manifesto cover. That is done by the ChangeThis staff.

Perhaps if you had written a manifesto for ChangeThis, you would be less critical.

Those who can, do. Those who can't, criticise.

Posted by: David St Lawrence | 5 Dec 2005 09:47:03

The thing is: what could be more cliche than these apples metaphor? No wonder we had these two similar covers. And there probably more somewhere. A basic rule to distinguish yourself: don't be lazy... :-)
