A troubling conversation
Earlier, on an SAA flight from Durban to Jo'burg:
So, let me just get this straight. Here's an industry that will confiscate your nail scissors before you're allowed to board an aircraft, but they have no problem letting you get on with a device that, "may interfere with the navigation systems."
WTF?
Conscientious travellers have been advised to be on the lookout for angry comic wielding, middle-eastern passengers carrying iPods...!

In fact it's BS. A laptop, an iPod or an mobil phone don't really pose a risk to the plane. It's just show. Because if they would pose a serious risk everyone would have to be searched prior to entering the plane and get the electronic devices confiscated.
Imagine you forget to switch off your mobil phone and that could lead to the plane crashing .....
Yeah, sure.
