Crack-a-what?

A while ago I posted an article on our sister blog, Jo'blog, about a cleaning product that I thought was particularly useful. The post's heading 'Free advertising' worked wonders on google.co.za, but it's been drawing the wrong kind of people, non-bloggers (obviously) who think it's a free platform to display their stuff. Selling cars, internet services, special event planning, buying stocks and most recently, Crack-a-caps.
Crackacap

Bizarre. I love the bit about the 'trendy frayed patch'. Genius! Haha!

Restart your Mac - ONLY $10

ButtonI think this could possibly be one of the silliest Mac apps invented, especially at a cost. Granted ten bucks isn't much, but still, to restart your machine?

Very funny.

Quite possibly the worst phone, ever...

I buy a fair amount of phones every year, generally of the smart variety. This bad boy is the worst I've had in ages. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to present, the SonyEricsson M600i:

M600I Twin

Crap interface, non-tactile on-screen s/end buttons (one of the many reasons I'm in no rush for this). Idiotic phonebook search, unimpressive battery life, and badly placed function buttons i.e. you're always pushing one when you should be pushing the other.

Sure, James Bond's latest lady friend used it, but she was a back-stabbing bitch, and now she's dead

Pity she didn't take the phone with her...!

Bring it on

Studies in London have revealed smart kids listen to heavy music. No wonder my collection is like it is.

Heavymetal

I'm so smart.

Will 3D printing be a crime?

3Dprint-2

Imagine having a 3D printer. Need a larger coffee mug, print it. Need a chair? Print the parts and assemble. There are millions of everyday (and not so everyday) objects that you could just print out if you needed it. What if it had a copper/metal cartridge, you could print out circuits. Start printing electronic devices? Fuck...

Anyway I was wondering then, what if someone created an iPod in the software and made it available to download via bittorrent? Then millions of users would be download object files and printing there own accessories etc. I hope it happens soon... :)

Well here's the start of it...

And if you like the idea of that, then listen to this... (It's called "Printcrime" by Cory Doctorow)
